When Should We Practice The Six Kowtows?


The answer is anytime, within reason.


A great thing about The Six Kowtows is their adaptability; one can practice them in a church, in a chapel, at a shrine, at home, or at any other suitable place. One can also practice The Six Kowtows virtually any time; one does not have to be at church at a particular time, or practice them at a certain time of the day. One can practice them alone or in a group. They are very flexible in that way, and therefore very convenient for people.


There are a few situations, though, in which it is inappropriate to practice The Six Kowtows.


One is during the Mass. Because the ideal way to practice them is before the Eucharist, one might think that it would give glory to God to kowtow during the Mass, especially after the consecration. This is a grave error, though. Since the Mass was modified by the Church in 1969, there has been floating around the idea and practice that all the rubrics (the liturgical provisions) are optional, and that the Mass is an ongoing experiment. This is a serious error. It is always wrong to interrupt or draw attention away from the Mass or the priest(s). One may have good intentions, but the Mass is holy, and individual expression that takes away from what is going on in the sanctuary is always wrong. No, we are to be humble children of the Church. Thus, The Six Kowtows may never be practiced during the Mass. Heaven has never given permission for this, of course. It goes without saying that this is the case. If this does occur, we can only say that we in no way support it or encourage it.


Is it appropriate, then, to kowtow – again, to give glory to Christ in the Eucharist – during a benediction service? During the adoration part, one can do so, but during benediction, when the priest is ministering, it is wrong because that is an official liturgical service of the Church. As such, it is never appropriate to kowtow when a priest is ministering in the liturgies. One gives God greater glory though our humility and obedience than by kowtowing to God at inappropriate times. We must always respect the role of the priest and have great respect for Holy Mass and at benediction.


There are other times when one should not practice The Six Kowtows. When practicing them causes significant discord at home, then that is wrong. Practicing them at home can be done out in the open or in private (as in the bedroom or another room), but God wants peace in homes and families. Kowtowing should not be the cause of serious tension in families. Between spouses there should not be a problem if the spouse that kowtows is reasonable.


Reasonably, in fact, describes how one should practice The Six Kowtows. If one simply uses common sense, it will be fairly obvious when it is appropriate or not to kowtow. If a priest says that one should not kowtow in his church, then we must obey, for he is the shepherd and we are the sheep; he has the authority to do so. If others are annoyed by kowtowing, on the other hand, then they can respectfully be ignored since they do not have any special authority in the Church. It is not socially unacceptable now to kowtow, before The Six Kowtows are practiced widely, yet we must publicly kowtow even when it is uncomfortable.


Another time one should not kowtow is when one has a serious, legitimate physical disability that makes kowtowing too arduous. In that rare case, one can bow the head, kneel, etc. instead. That being said, kowtowing is intrinsically uncomfortable and unnatural. It is essentially a penitential position, so we can expect to experience discomfort every time we kowtow. It is a cross we have to take up because God and Mary want us to kowtow. The Six Kowtows are intended by heaven to be done in front of others, such as in adoration, or before or after Mass, to evangelize publicly. Even the discomfort of being looked at must be offered up until The Six Kowtows are widespread.


Currently The Six Kowtows are being practiced in the streets in some Latin American countries. To practice them outside of the church and home is acceptable, as long as it does not interfere with public order. The world will be ready soon to kowtow, after significant end times events have occurred. Humanity will be humbled soon unfortunately, and it is precisely for these times that God and Mary bring us The Six Kowtows. Humanity will be brought to its knees eventually and must humble itself before God. Many do not even know how to convert and come back to God, so in His infinite mercy, God gives humanity an effective and powerful way to return to Him. Many will be saved by God through The Six Kowtows. It is a great gift Blessed Mother has obtained from God for Her children – every person in the world. So practice The Six Kowtows and you will quickly be back in God’s hands. Then, go to the Church to complete your conversion. Thank You, God and Mary, for giving us this great gift!
